PEO EIS’ Global Enterprise Network Modernization – Americas (GENM-A) hosted the Army Global Secret Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) Network Industry Day at Fort Belvoir April 20-22, bringing together government officials and 23 industry partners on the NSA Trusted Integrator list.

PEO EIS’ Integrated Enterprise Network (IEN) project management office held a renaming ceremony on March 16 for its Power Projection Enablers (P2E) product office, which now is officially known as Global Enterprise Network Modernization – OCONUS (GENM-O).

On March 30, PEO EIS’s Global Enterprise Network Modernization – OCONUS (GENM-O) Product Manager (PdM) Tom Dunaway discussed the Army’s network modernization initiatives during a keynote speech at an AFCEA Belvoir monthly luncheon event in Springfield, Virginia. The event brought industry and government officials together in the same room to discuss unified network business opportunities and solutions for the first time in over two years.

PEO EIS held a renaming ceremony on March 16 for its Defense Communications and Army Transmission Systems (DCATS) project management office, which now is officially known as Project Manager Integrated Enterprise Network (PM IEN).

“Part of my job includes understanding where technology is headed and what innovative solutions can enhance the Army network,” said Bob Carroll, lead engineer for the Defense Communications and Army Transmission Systems (DCATS) project management office in PEO EIS’s Enterprise Information Environment Mission Area.

As the Army Deputy Chief of Staff, G-6, Lt. Gen. John Morrison, pointed out in a Nov. 4 keynote speech at AFCEA Belvoir Industry Days (ABID), “Complexity is not our friend” in building the unified network, “but it’s not the enemy either.”

PEO EIS’s Power Projection Enablers (P2E) — whose mission is to modernize infrastructure and information technology for stakeholders outside the continental United States — recently completed a multi-year project to engineer, furnish, install, secure and test critical facility infrastructure at the Consolidated Intelligence Center (CIC) at Clay Kaserne in Wiesbaden, Germany.

PEO EIS’s Defense Communications and Army Transmission Systems (DCATS) hosted a change of charter and renaming ceremony Sept. 30 for its Installation Information Infrastructure Modernization Program (I3MP) product office, which now is officially known as Global Enterprise Network Modernization – Americas (GENM-A).
