    FORT BELVOIR, Va. ­­– The May 21 retirement ceremony for Chérie Smith, outgoing program executive officer for Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS), may have been non-traditional due to its online format, but it made a powerful impact on its large virtual audience with its heartfelt tributes from senior Army leaders, moving award presentation and emotional words of gratitude from Smith.
  3. PEO EIS welcomes new program executive officer in first-ever virtual Change of Charter ceremony

    FORT BELVOIR, Va. — Ross R. Guckert accepted the charter to serve as the new program executive officer for the Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS) during a May 21 virtual change of charter ceremony livestreamed from Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The Honorable Dr. Bruce D. Jette, the assistant secretary of the Army for acquisition, logistics and technology (ASA[ALT]) and Army acquisition executive, hosted the ceremony, which had several hundred online viewers.
  4. ATIS Contract Awarded

    NEWPORT NEWS, Virginia. – The U.S. Army Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS) recently announced that Perspecta has been awarded a contract to execute the Acquisition, Testing and Deployment (AT&D) phase of the Business Capability Acquisition Cycle (BCAC) for development of the Army Training Information System (ATIS). ATIS will be the enterprise system for all aspects of Army training. The contract has a total expected value of $237.2 million over the course of 48 months.

    Gus Burnside, II, product lead for the Army Enterprise Staff Management System (AESMS) program, is today’s #PEOEISTeammateTuesday. Before joining PEO EIS, Burnside supported the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Counternarcotics and Global Threats at U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) managing counternarcotics and law-enforcement programs for 11 African countries. He answered seven questions about his career and life.
