On Nov. 14th, Project Manager (PM) Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) will officially establish Product Manager (PdM) Cyber Analytics and Detection (CAD) during an Assumption of Charter at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

The establishment of PdM CAD comes nine months after PM DCO began a complete organizational overhaul in mid-February 2018. The PM previously operated as Installation Information Infrastructure Communications and Capabilities (I3C2), before re-aligning its mission to focus on delivering defensive cyber capabilities. PM DCO will continue to be led by Col. Chad Harris.

“Standing up PdM CAD is one of the final pieces of our reorganization effort, and is a significant milestone as we move forward to provide comprehensive defensive cyber capabilities in support of our stakeholders,” said Col. Harris.

The PdM CAD portfolio will consist of software solutions to enable stakeholder defensive cyber mission planning and execution. Solutions will focus on Cyber Analytics, DCO Mission Planning (DCOMP), User Activity Monitoring/Insider Threat, Threat Emulation, and Threat Discovery. Responsibility for CAD will be granted to DCO newcomer, Lt. Col. Leilani Tydingco-Amarante.

“As the incoming PdM CAD, I look forward to building upon the strong team that already exists within DCO,” said Lt. Col. Tydingco-Amarante. “I was raised in the Army ranks to get missions done while also taking care of your people. That’s something that I will bring with me as I take on the PdM CAD position.”

Lt. Col. Tydingco-Amarante has 20 years of military service and began her career in the Signal Corps. After holding several staff and two Company Command positions, she was assessed into the Acquisition Corps with a focus in Program Management. Before arriving to take on her new position as PdM, Lt. Col. Tydingco-Amarante was assigned as a Program Analyst to the Deputy Under Secretary of the Army-Test and Evaluation.

“Lt. Col. Tydingco-Amarante has a reputation of being an outstanding leader who efficiently delivers results,” said Col. Harris. “She’s proven her ability to navigate obstacles to accomplish missions, and she has the kind of vigor needed to help CAD develop from its infancy stage.”
