Lt. Col. Brandon Pye manages the Accessions Information Environment (AIE), a defense business system used by recruiters to enlist Soldiers into the Army. AIE replaces 11 legacy systems and 31 modules to modernize the Accessions Enterprise. This re-engineered business process will enable a single source record providing data integrity throughout the accessions and recruiting process. 

Before joining PEO EIS, he was selected to serve in the Army’s Board Room, Directorate of Military Personnel Management, Deputy Chief of Staff G-1. He also served as the executive officer to the program executive officer at PEO EIS.

Pye’s first acquisition assignment was as an assistant product manager for the Army Contract Writing System.

Pye was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army in 2006. After graduating from the Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course (IBOLC), he proceeded to the 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia, where he served as a platoon leader, headquarters company executive officer and assistant operation officer. In 2009, he deployed to Baghdad Province, Iraq, in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and New Dawn. He served as an IBOLC senior platoon trainer in the 2nd Battalion 11th Infantry Regiment and company commander for the Stryker, Bradley and Tank instructor company in 1st Battalion, 29th Infantry Regiment, 316th Cavalry at Fort Benning, Georgia.

Pye earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, a master’s degree in business administration from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Ph.D. in management information systems from the University of Georgia.

Pye’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the Army Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters, the Army Achievement Medal with four oak leaf clusters, the Meritorious Unit Commendation, the Expert Infantryman’s Badge, the Ranger Tab, the Parachutist Badge, the Air Assault Badge and the Orders of St. George and St. Maurice.
