RECENT EVENTS

AFCEA BELVOIR INDUSTRY DAYS

Last month, leaders and teammates from across our portfolio participated in the annual AFCEA Belvoir Industry Days (ABID) event, held for the first time this year at the Westfields Marriott in Chantilly, Virginia.  This year saw more than 1,265 in-person and virtual attendees. Highlights included keynotes from senior Army leaders and multiple breakouts from PEO EIS leaders.

PEO EIS contributed 26 speakers supporting 15 sessions and conducted over 50 meetings with industry partners over the 2.5 days of the event!

You can find all of the briefings and the most recent procurement forecast on our Business Opportunities page.

Thank you to the AFCEA team for continuing to provide vital opportunities for us to safely gather and collaborate in delivering critical solutions to Soldiers.

EBS-C PPON

On Nov. 22, PEO EIS and the Enterprise Business Systems – Convergence (EBS-C) Multi-Functional Capabilities Team (MFCT) released the FINAL Prototype Project Opportunity Notice (PPON) on SAM.gov. The purpose of this PPON, published under the Other Transaction Authority (OTA) of 10 USC § 4022[1], is to fulfill the Army requirements for the EBS-C Prototype Project.

Under the PPON, the Army is seeking a Technical Integration Provider(s) to develop EBS-C solutions to meet the requirements in the Statement of Need.

Please visit SAM.gov for full details.

UPCOMING EVENTS

CHESS ASSUMPTION OF CHARTER

On Dec. 9, Sarah Mullins will become our new product lead for Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software and Solutions — or CHESS — which is part of our Enterprise Services portfolio.

CHESS provides a no-fee, flexible procurement strategy through which an Army user may procure commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) IT hardware, software and services via an e-commerce-based process.

CHESS offers simple, straightforward contract vehicles through its online Army e-commerce ordering system, the IT e-mart (https://chess.army.mil). These contracts provide continuous vendor competition for best value and consolidation of requirements to maximize cost avoidance and leverage the Army’s buying power.

Join us for a virtual ceremony on YouTube.

TEM 9

PEO Command Control Communications – Tactical (C3T) and Army Future Command’s Network Command, Control, Communication, and Intelligence Cross-Functional Team (N-CFT) will host the U.S. Army Technical Exchange Meeting 9 (TEM 9) in Nashville, Tennessee, Dec. 7-9

Approximately 600 industry partners will converge with more than 200 government and military attendees as part of a continuing effort to identify the best capabilities to unify and modernize the network in support of the Secretary of the Army’s objective to ensure the Army becomes more data-centric and can operate in contested environments.

I am looking forward to participating in a panel covering topics such as the Unified Network,

Data Platform and Unified Data Reference Architecture, and Pivot to Agile.

This summer’s TEM8 provided valuable insights and collaboration, and we look forward to working with PEO C3T, the N-CFT and our industry partners on this joint modernization mission.

ORGANIZATIONAL UPDATES

As we look to a new year, we are also effecting big change within the organization by standing up a Chief Information Office for PEO EIS.

With this decision, PEO EIS will better align with the Army’s Digital Transformation focus, allowing us to more effectively manage and integrate our diverse portfolio at the enterprise level. Whether data, cyber, network reference architectures or cloud strategy, the CIO will be our interface to key offices as we execute Digital Transformation in support of our partner stakeholders and parent organizations.

A job announcement was posted to USAjobs in late November, and a new chief information officer will be in place in the new year. I am really excited about this office and will share more details in the coming months.
