RECENT EVENTS

Last month, leaders and teammates from across our portfolio participated in the annual AFCEA Belvoir Industry Days (ABID) event at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. This year saw more than 900 in-person and virtual attendees. Highlights included keynotes from senior Army leaders, a Women in IT panel and a cross-service panel. PEO EIS contributed 35 speakers supporting 15 sessions, and held a whopping 101 meetings with industry partners over the 2.5 days of the event!

You can find all of the briefings and the most recent procurement forecast on our Business Opportunities page.

Thank you to the AFCEA team for continuing to provide vital opportunities for us to safely gather and collaborate in delivering critical solutions to Soldiers.

ARMY UNIFIED NETWORK PLAN

With the release of the Army Unified Network Plan, the Army has laid out its plan to bring together multiple, complex network modernization efforts into a single, coherent approach delivering secure and seamless communications.

The network underpins all modernization efforts. With our stakeholders, partners and industry, PEO EIS is pursuing a more consolidated, holistic approach to the integrated enterprise network so that it can be successfully linked with the integrated tactical network.

Our Army Data and Analytics Platforms portfolio provides modern data and decision support tools and platforms, harnessing data across defense business systems and modernizing the Army’s training management system.

Systems such as Army Vantage are helping leaders pave the way to modernization by joining and enriching millions of data points from authoritative sources into visualizations that support real time decisions to Commanders in areas such as risk and readiness.

ENTERPRISE BUSINESS SYSTEMS – CONVERGENCE (EBS-C)

As discussed at ABID, in the coming months, EBS-C will host an Industry Day event, and we will be looking to industry for truly innovative and agile solutions. Stay tuned, and follow us on Facebook and LinkedIn for more details as the program develops, and for information on other future events in the new year.

ARMY 365 MARCHES THROUGH PHASE 2

The Army continues its migration to Army 365 – another major Unified Network operations milestone that supports people, modernization and readiness initiatives.

Phase 1 — migrating from CVR Teams to Army 365 Teams — is complete. Phase 2 migrates the Army’s current Defense Enterprise Email (DEE) capabilities to Army 365, and is expected to be complete by the end of March 2022. This Herculean move will bolster collaboration and connectivity, improve operational effectiveness, and increase cybersecurity and defensive cyber operations. Phase 3 — the migration from SharePoint to SharePoint Online — is on the Army’s roadmap for 2022 and will kick off once the email migration is complete.

CLOSING OUT 2021…

What a difference a year can make. This year, we were able to expand our programs and events into more in-person and hybrid events, and we hope to see this trend continue in 2022!

This holiday season, the Army celebrates its people, values and heritage with the Army Year in Photos site, which will be available in mid-December. You can also view a retrospective of PEO EIS events and accomplishments on our Flickr page.

From the PEO EIS family, we wish you a happy holiday season with your loved ones, and a safe and prosperous new year in 2022.

GO ARMY, BEAT NAVY!
