Preston Hayward accepted the charter for PEO EIS’s Enterprise Business Systems Convergence (EBS-C) product office at a hybrid in-person/virtual ceremony held July 16 on Fort Belvoir.

Hayward assumed the product lead (PL) position from Jeannie Winchester, who served as PL since February 2021 and was selected to attend senior service college. Col. Rob Wolfe, project manager, Army Data and Analytics Platforms (PM ARDAP), hosted the change of charter event.

EBS Convergence is a program within PEO EIS’s ARDAP portfolio and is part of the Army's Enterprise Business System Multi-Functional Capabilities Team (EBS-MCFT), a coalition established to drive enterprise resource planning (ERP) readiness and modernization by 2027.

In his remarks, Wolfe told Winchester that he was “proud for her and proud of her” for being selected to senior service and for all she accomplished for EBS-C. Noting that several EBS-C partners were in attendance at the event, Wolfe said that the product office’s relationship with the functional community was “probably the best one I’ve ever seen.”

Wolfe went on to describe incoming PL Hayward as a “round peg for a round hole that fits perfectly” to lead EBS-C forward.

Before becoming PL, Hayward served as the deputy product lead for PEO EIS’s Computer Hardware Enterprise Software and Solutions, and product manager for Global Combat Support System Army, as well as held various military positions that touched all aspects of acquisition and logistics. He brings his career-long experience to the EBS-C effort to lead the convergence of six logistics and financial systems into one.
