Mr. Jordan Nguyen serves as Chief Technology Officer, Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO), an essential capability of Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS). In this capacity, he leads the efforts of supporting the DCO product lines and innovation to ensure dominance in cyberspace while providing cutting-edge support to national, joint, and allied partners.

Until May 2023, Mr. Nguyen served as CIO of the 2500-member US Navy Judge Advocate General Corps (JAGC), where he delivered novel technical capabilities to improve Navy and Marine Corps legal services and military justice at over 100 locations worldwide. Before becoming CIO, Mr. Nguyen served as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), expanding the JAGC cybersecurity program with two hard-won Authorizations to Operate (ATOs) that introduced the JAGC’s new multi-million dollar Microsoft Azure cloud environment as well as implementing wireless connectivity in the busiest courtrooms.

Mr. Nguyen spent six years overseas as a civilian with both the US Navy and US Army. He was the Deputy Chief Information Officer for the US Naval Ship Repair Facility (SRF) in Yokosuka, Japan, where he led the project management office, acquisition programs, and software development division. During his time with the US Army, he served as project manager for the 509th Strategic Signal Battalion in Vicenza, Italy, where he provided C4IM services focused on NATO’s Southern Flank (including Italy, the Balkans, and the Black Sea region) and Africa.

Mr. Nguyen began his career 25 years ago as a software developer, network engineer, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) manager in banking and K-12 education. As an ERP manager, Mr. Nguyen led several major ERP projects, including a PeopleSoft implementation, Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) implementation, and migration of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to PeopleSoft.

Mr. Nguyen holds two master’s degrees (Software Systems and International Management) from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota, a Bachelor of Science degree from the National American University, and graduate and professional certificates from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Stanford University, respectively. In addition, he holds numerous certifications, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Expert, and Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
