Marty Zybura currently serves as the deputy project manager for GFEBS, which is responsible for standardizing, streamlining, and sharing critical data across the Army, Department of Defense (DOD) and industry partners. Previously, he was director of the Mission Command directorate in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology) (ASA (ALT)), where his duties included representing, coordinating and managing the Mission Command portfolio and a team of Department of the Army Systems Coordinators.

Zybura began his Army career as a Soldier. While on active duty, he served as chief of staff of the Army Contracting Command (ACC), Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. He was the principal assistant to the commanding general for planning, coordinating, directing, supervising and training of the more than 200 headquarters staff members, and coordinated support and oversight of two one-star subordinate commands and six subordinate contracting centers. Prior to his assignment as the ACC chief of staff, Zybura served as the commander for the 413th Contracting Support Brigade, Fort Shafter, Hawaii, where he was responsible for installation, service and expeditionary contracting in the U.S. Army Pacific area of responsibility. Additional Acquisition assignments included; director, Enterprise and Systems Integration Center, Armaments Research, Development and Engineering Center, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey; product manager, Large Caliber Ammunition, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey; chief operations officer, 408th Contracting Support Brigade, Fort McPherson, Georgia and Camp Arifjan, Kuwait; operations officer and division chief, 411th Contracting Support Brigade, Seoul, Republic of Korea; chief, Acquisition, Logistics and Technology branch, 403rd Army Field Support Brigade, Camp Henry, Republic of Korea; contracting branch chief, Osan Air Force Base, Republic of Korea and chief Operations Group Acquisition Support, National Training Center, Fort Irwin California. Zybura also served in multiple assignments as a field artillery officer prior to accession into the Acquisition Corps.

Zybura is a 1989 graduate of the United States Military Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. He earned a master’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Washington and a master’s degree from the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He is a member of the Army Acquisition Corps and is DAWIA Level III certified in Contracting and Program Management and Level II certified in Acquisition Logistics
