Mr. C.J. Akridge

C.J. Akridge is a senior operations research analyst in the Directorate for Capabilities and Integration (DCI) at Army Test and Evaluation Command’s (ATEC) headquarters. Akridge began his career at ATEC in the Army Evaluation Center (AEC) in September 2012 as a suitability evaluator responsible for providing test and evaluation planning and suitability evaluations for 40+ major DOD acquisition programs. He assumed his current position at ATEC’s DCI in October 2019 and is currently assigned as the lead for the development and acquisition of the ATEC Integrated Mission Management System (AIMMS) and other initiatives within DCI. He has completed developmental assignments with the Strategic Initiatives Group of AEC and with the Capabilities Integration Division at Headquarters, Army Materiel Command G-3, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
He began his civil service career in February 2011 as a CP-17 intern with the Department of the Army Logistics Management Intern Program out of Fort Lee, Virginia. He is a graduate of the Quartermaster Basic Officer Leadership Course, CES Advanced Course and AEC Emerging Leaders Cohort, and he served on active duty in the Marine Corps from 2000 to 2004. He was honorably discharged in 2004 as a Sergeant after serving one tour in Afghanistan and one tour in Iraq as a radio operator and communications chief.
Akridge earned his bachelor of science degree in information systems from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia in December 2010 and his master of engineering management degree in industrial and systems engineering from Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama in December 2020. Akridge is an Acquisition Corps Member, DAWIA Level 3 certified in life cycle logistics, and DAWIA Level 3 certified in test and evaluation.
Akridge has earned numerous military and civilian awards over his career, including a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for service in Iraq, and the U.S. Army Commanders Award for Civilian Service for work completed on the AEC SharePoint redesign while assigned to the AEC Strategic Initiatives Group.
