ATIS Prototype Contract Awarded

Newport News, Va. – The U.S. Army recently announced the award of three competitive prototype contracts as a risk reduction measure and technology demonstration for the Army Training Information System (ATIS) project. The awards are firm fixed price, via Other Transaction Agreements, and administered through the C5 Consortium Management Group. Each agreement is a 12-month Period of Performance.

ATIS is a Defense Business System that will develop, integrate, test, deliver, operate, and maintain an enterprise capability for the Army training and education communities. ATIS will provide a single-entry, integrated system, comprised of any combination of Commercial Off-the-Shelf and/or Government Off-the-Shelf and/or existing products and services. ATIS will provide a Common Operational Picture (COP) of the Army training environment in five integrated and interoperable capability areas: (1) Training Development, (2) Training Management, (3) Enterprise Scheduling, (4) Content Management, and (5) Resource Management.

Contracts for prototypes were awarded to CGI Federal Inc., Enterprise Services LLC, and KBRwyle, Inc. Located in Fairfax, Va., CGI Federal Inc. has over 40 years supporting Army training and currently primes the TRADOC G2 Core, the Army Contract Writing System, and provides global IT enterprise management. Based in Herndon, Va., Enterprise Services LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Perspecta, Inc., supports the Navy/Marine Corp Intranet (NMCI), the largest DoD network. Situated in Huntsville, Ala., KBRwyle, Inc. brings over 150 years of combined experience with implementing enterprise-wide DoD systems.

The ATIS program is managed by Lt. Col. Jim A. Lee, Product Manager, under the Project Manager, Integrated Personnel and Pay System – Army, and the Program Executive Officer, Enterprise Information Systems.
