Product Director, Distributed Learning System: Mr. Stanley Davis

Mr. Stanley Davis

In April 2010, Mr. Stanley Davis assumed leadership of the Army’s Distributed Learning System (DLS). As the Product Director (PD) for DLS, Mr. Davis sets the strategic vision for the program and is responsible for ensuring DLS meets all cost, schedule and performance goals. Mr. Davis is tasked with overseeing the five components of the DLS program, which include Army e-Learning, Digital Training Facilities (DTFs), Army Learning Management System (ALMS), Enterprise Management Center (EMC), and Deployed Digital Training Campuses (DDTCs). Mr. Davis has purview over training delivery systems worldwide, which provide education and training access to Soldiers, units, and organizations by using web-based and video tele-training capabilities supporting the Soldier.

Prior to becoming the PD, Mr. Davis served as the DLS Deputy Program Manager and managed the team that delivers training products and provides training management functions via the web.  Mr. Davis has over thirty years of military and government service in acquisition, leadership, training and management.

Mr. Davis received the 2005 Federal Computer Weekly’s Federal 100 Award for excellence in development, acquisition and management of federal information technology.  He is also the recipient of the 2007 SkillSoft Corporation’s Performance Support Innovation Award.

His military education includes Command and General Staff College, Armed Forces Staff College, Defense Program Managers Course and Army War College.  He is a member of the Army Acquisition Corps and holds Level III certifications in Program Management and Test and Evaluation.
