Mr. Mike Padden

Mr. Mike Padden was appointed Assistant Program Executive Officer (PEO), Network and Communications at PEO Enterprise Information Systems in September 2017. Mr. Padden previously worked at PEO EIS as the Project Manager, Installation Information Infrastructure Communications and Capabilities (I3C2). Mr. Padden’s prior assignments include: Acting Deputy and Executive Director for the Acquisition of Services, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology); Director, Services Portfolio Coordination Project Manager, Central Select List (CSL) for Mobile Electric Power; Assistant Program Executive Officer for Operations and Chief of Staff for the Army Program Executive Office, Aviation; Business Manager for the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Systems Project Office; Chief of the Acquisition and Production Management Division for the Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Systems Project Office; and working in the Abrams Tank System Project Office, Light Combat Vehicles Project Office and the Commercial Construction Equipment Program Office.

Mr. Padden’s awards and recognitions include: the Superior Civilian Service Award; the Achievement Medal for Civilian Service; the Commander’s Award for Civilian Service; the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF) Commandant’s Award for Excellence in Research and Writing; the MG Antonelli Award for ICAF Industry Study Excellence; and the Department of Defense David Packard Excellence in Acquisition Award. Mr. Padden is also the recipient of the Department of the Army Decoration for Exceptional Civilian Service which is the highest award that may be bestowed by the Secretary of the Army to Army civilian employees.

Mr. Padden holds a Master of Science degree in National Resource Strategy from the ICAF, a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from Eastern Michigan University. He has completed the Program on Leadership for Senior Executives at Harvard University and is a graduate of the Defense Acquisition University’s Senior Acquisition Course and Executive Program Manager’s Course. He is also a graduate of the Defense Systems Management College’s Advanced Program Management Course and the Army’s Competitive Development Group Program.
