LTC Gus Muller

LTC Gus Muller

In 1993, LTC Gus Muller began his military career as an Army Reserve Specialist (E-4) serving in reserve commands in California, Maryland, and Virginia.  In 1996, he was commissioned as a 2LT of Field Artillery at Fort Benning, GA.  From 1997 to 2006, LTC Muller served in Field Artillery battalions in Korea, Germany and at Fort Bragg, NC. While at Ft Bragg, he deployed to Kosovo (2001) in support of Operation Joint Guardian, to Hungary (2003), and twice to Iraq (2003, 2005) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

In 2006, LTC Muller received his first Acquisition assignment with Program Manager Future Combat Systems (PM FCS) serving as an Assistant Program Manager for PM FCS in Technologies and International Cooperation in Washington, DC.  He later served as a Systems Team Chairman with the Army Test and Evaluation Command supporting Army PEO EIS, the National Security Agency and the DOD Business Transformation Agency.  In 2010, he was assigned to US Army Special Operations Command as a Commodity Chief for Military Intelligence Support Operations (MISO) equipping.  Returning to Washington DC in 2012, he was assigned as an HQDA Systems Coordinator for PEO C3T systems.  After a brief deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, LTC Muller served as an Executive Officer and HQDA Systems Coordinator.  In 2014, he was assigned as the Plans and Programs Team Lead under the Director of Plans, Programs, and Resources for ASA(ALT).

LTC Muller earned an MS in Business Administration from Webster University (Distinguished Honor Graduate) and a BS in Business Finance from Liberty University.  He has certifications (DAU Level III) in Program Management and Test & Evaluation, and Level I certification in Information Technologies.  His military awards and decorations include multiple awards of the Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Commendation Medal, NATO Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Kosovo Campaign Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, and the Afghanistan Campaign Medal.
