Mr. Lee James

Mr. Lee James, III served as the Deputy Project Director (PD) for the Force Management System (FMS) program from December 2014 to June 2015. While serving as Deputy PD, he was selected to initiate the Army’s increment of Security Cooperation Enterprise Solution (SCES), a Tri-Service ACAT IA program deployed over three increments.

Mr. James also served as the Deputy Product Manager for the General Fund Enterprise Business System - Sensitive Activities (GFEBS-SA) program from August 2012 to December 2014. Prior to assuming that role, he served as an Assistant Project Manager for GFEBS from December 2010 to August 2012.

Prior to joining GFEBS in 2010, Mr. James served as the Chief, Radio Frequency In-Transit Visibility (RF-ITV) for Product Manager, Joint Automatic Identification Technology (J-AIT), responsible for the lifecycle management of the RF-ITV capability. Mr. James joined PEO Enterprise Information Systems in 2003 as a staff officer for the Chief Technology Officer. He has supported several Army organizations to include the Army Chief Information Officer (CIO/G-6), and Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) G-3 Operations.

Mr. James began his federal service in 2000 as an intern at the US Army Defense Ammunition Center in McAlester, OK. He was then selected for the Army’s CIO/G-6 Army Knowledge Leaders Program.

Mr. James graduated Magna Cum Laude from Langston University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science. He also earned a Master’s Degree in Information Resource Management from Central Michigan University. He is a member of the U.S. Army Acquisition Corps and the American Council for Technology. He is also Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III certified in Program Management and Information Technology.

Lee was a Government Computer News Rising Star in 2008. He also earned the Achievement Medal for Civilian Service in 2012 and the Commander’s Award for Civilian Service in 2009 and 2014. Lee also received the Department of Defense Chief Information Office Award in 2009.
