Product Director, Land Mobile Radio (LMR): Ms. Kimberly Davidson


Ms. Kimberly Davidson

Ms. Kimberly Davidson is Product Lead, Land Mobile Radios (LMR) which reports to the Project Manager, Defense Communications and Army Transmission Systems (PM DCATS). Ms. Davidson is responsible for the acquisition, management, installation and delivery of CONUS and OCONUS non-tactical LMR systems that support installation force protection, public safety, first responders, installation management and homeland security.

The LMR program migrates wideband LMR systems to meet National Telecommunications and Information Administration narrowband mandates of 2005 and 2008, to meet the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials P25 requirements for system interoperability and security, and to pursue regionaliza-tion and promote federal, state, local and tribal interoperability requirements when economically and operationally feasible. Ms. Davidson leads a workforce of 17 core and matrix employees and manages annual invest-ments exceeding $28 million.

Previously, Ms. Davidson served as the Business Management and Logistics Office Team Lead for PD LMR. Prior to joining Team LMR in 2004, Ms. Davidson was a Contract Specialist and Program Analyst for the General Services Administration at Ft. Monmouth, NJ. She also taught Mathematics in the Broward County Public School System (Florida) and was an Adjunct Mathematics Professor at Nova Southeastern University.

Ms. Davidson was presented with a Commander’s Award for Civilian Service in 2011 and 2014 and was nominated for a C4ISR Ten Outstanding Personnel of the Year award in 2005. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in secondary education with a specialty in Mathematics from Nova Southeastern University (1995) and a Master’s Degree in Program Management from the Naval Postgraduate School (2009).
